The design of Hannah’s beautiful alencon lace gown and peplum started to take shape when she saw an image of a discontinued designer dress online. From here she fell in love with the idea of a peplum and after shopping around for a while and seeing nothing that could compare, sought out to have a gown in this shape made.

Hannah was determined to achieve the perfect peplum shape and we were even more determined to make this a reality for her. By layering horsehair braid and crinoline under the front pleated panels, we were able to get just the right amount of volume and structure in the peplum of her dreams.

To complete her church nuptials she opted for a detachable off the shoulder lace bodice to wear during the ceremony. This topped off the couture style corset, contoured perfectly to the fit and flare silhouette, were alencon lace was applique’d to complete the look down to the scalloped edge hem.

Hannahs chic, couture look is by far one of our all time favorites to create and see come together throughout the process. She wore her dream gown during her dream wedding day at The Gibbes Museum during her fall wedding. Read more about Hannah’s personal EKB experience through her review on The Knot.
